Premier League:
Liverpool v Brentford

Liverpool will take on Brentford in what promises to be an exciting Premier League encounter on Saturday. Jurgen Klopp’s side will be looking to extend their winning streak to six matches after their 1-0 victory over Fulham. The win has helped Liverpool climb to fifth place in the table and they will be aiming to continue their push for a top-four finish.

Liverpool has been in fine form and have won 12 of their last 13 games in the month of May. They will also be buoyed by their impressive record at Anfield, having won 30 of their last 40 Premier League matches at home. The Reds will look to their star forward Mohamed Salah, who has been involved in 12 goals in his last 11 PL outings.

Brentford, on the other hand, will be the underdogs in this match, having won only two of their 14 Premier League matches against sides in the top-five. However, they will be full of confidence after winning their last two PL matches, including a win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Brentford’s top scorer Ivan Toney will be one to watch, having netted their opening goal in 13 of his 17 goalscoring outings this season.

The Bees will be looking to create history, as they aim to register only their second-ever win at Anfield in 11 attempts, while completing their first-ever league double over Liverpool after a 3-1 Brentford home win earlier this year. Although a point wouldn’t be a bad result for Brentford, they have drawn more PL matches this season than any other side and could prove to be a tough team to break down.

Liverpool has lost just one of their 10 home meetings with Brentford in all competitions, winning the past six in a row since a 4-3 loss all the way back in November 1937 in the top-flight. The Reds will be hoping to continue their winning streak against Brentford and maintain their impressive record at home.

Liverpool will be the favourites going into this match, but Brentford will be hoping to create an upset and build on their recent good form. Expect an entertaining and closely contested encounter between these two sides.

Prediction: 2-1 Liverpool. 15/2 @ Quinnbet

Liverpool v Brentford Best Bets & Tips

Fabinho & Ivan Toney both to be carded –  now 11/1

Both of these players top the charts for most cards received at their respective clubs.
Fabinho has racked up 9 yellow cards this season, likewise has Toney.
With Anthony Taylor the man in charge, there could be a number of cards dished out in this one, he averages 4.00 yellows per game, 3.81 in the PL.

Bryan Mbuemo and Ivan Toney over 0.5 Shots on Target each – Unibet – 12/5

Toney averages 1.3 shots on target per 90 whereas Mbuemo averages 0.9 shots on target per 90 in the Premier League. Liverpool’s defence has been kind of shaky compared to recent seasons conceding 15 in their last 10 – not that bad I know but Brentford may see a bit of the ball further up the pitch than you would expect them. Toney on penalties & some set pieces. As a team Brentford manage an average of 4.2 shots on target per game.

Over 2.5 goals & Liverpool to have under 7.5 corners – 59/50 – Unibet double

Liverpool have not had more than 7.5 corners in 9 of their last 10 home fixtures. The last 10 home corners for LFC are: 7-4-9-5-4-5-3-5-4-6.
Over 2.5 goals lands in 62% of Liverpool’s games and in 47% of Brentfords. However, 4 of the last 5 LFC games have landed over 2.5.
