Premier League:
Arsenal v Southampton
Arsenal will host Southampton at Emirates Stadium in what promises to be a crucial match for both teams.
Arsenal’s title charge has faltered in recent weeks, as Manchester City’s pursuit has cut their lead to just four points with a game in hand.
Despite not suffering a league defeat since mid-February, Arsenal has had successive 2-2 draws, which has put them under immense pressure ahead of their crucial match against Manchester City next week.
However, Arsenal’s recent record against bottom-half opponents at home is impressive, as they have won all seven games, scoring 27 goals and conceding just 7.
Southampton, on the other hand, is rooted to the bottom of the table, four points from safety, and without a win in their last six matches.
Despite their poor form, Southampton have been a tad more robust on the road recently, conceding just two goals in their last four away league matches.
However, they have struggled to score, managing just one goal in their last five away league outings, and are now winless in 6.
If the Saints want any chance of survival this season, Selles’ men need to pull of a miracle against a title-challenging team that will be desperate to put things right.
“It has been desperate from the very first second,” Selles told reporters. “We are running out of time and the games are less and less.”
Players to watch:
Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is one the main attractions of the match. Gabriel Jesus has found the back of the net nine times in the current Premier League season. With Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka having already scored 10+ each, this could be only the second season in which four Arsenal players reach double figures in the competition (Cazorla, Giroud, Podolski & Walcott in 2012/13).
James Ward-Prowse is never far from the thoughts of Southampton fans, and with good reason too. He has been one of the standout performers for the club this season, having already scored nine goals in all competitions (6 of those away from home).
The Englishman could reach double figures for the second time in his career, having scored 11 goals in the previous campaign.

Premier League Tips & Bets
Gabriel Jesus averages 1.5 shots on target per 90 mins in an arsenal shirt this season. And with Southampton’s poor defensive record I would even expect him to score let alone find the target.
3pt bet.
EPIC Odds from William Hill, boosted from 1/4 now 1/1.
Arsenal to win, Southampton most cards, Arsenal most corners – 23/20
Without disrespecting Southampton, I cannot see past an Arsenal victory. The Gunners will be fired up and Southampton have never won in 23 Premier League visits to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium (L19, D8), making it the longest unbeaten run a team has enjoyed against another in the competition.
Arsenal have recorded 46 yellows in the PL whereas Southampton have 57. Arsenal will dominate possession so expect Southampton to be leggy late on conceding fouls.
In terms of corners, both teams average 2 corners per game, away and home respectively. I expect this to be the only way the bet can falter, but with Arsenal expected to be on the front foot, they should win the corner race.
1pt bet.

Martinelli over 0.5 shots on target, Romeo Lavia to be carded – 19/5 @ Unibet
Romeo Lavia is the Saints’ most carded player this season. The 19-year-old has racked up 7 yellows this season in his 22 apps. I would advise to only back if Lavia starts.
Martinelli on the other hand is a consistent starter and performer this season, averaging 1.0 shots on target in the PL this season.
1pt bet.
