Each way – 5.20 Taunton – Leissieres Express – 18/1 William Hill
LEISSIERES EXPRESS showed plenty of promise when a staying on 4th at Chepstow over 2 miles in a novice maiden hurdle. Made handicap debut then at Wincanton but gave up plenty of ground at the start which in all honesty looked deliberate (done the same on two previous runs). Handicapper has dropped him 4lb for that and this extra 3f tomorrow might be exactly what he’s after.
William Hill are paying 4 places in the 5.20 @ Taunton
Each way – 5.13 Perth – Magic Mike – 16/1 Unibet 4 places
MAGIC MIKE went into my tracker in a novice hurdle race at Catterick when running well for a long way till tiring late on. A drop to the minimum 2 mile trip is what I noted he wants in handicaps and tomorrow he gets it on suitable ground. He ran well for a long way last time albeit pretty keen finishing a tired 3rd on heavy ground at Doncaster. They’ve put a hood back on him for this and off a mark of 78 I’m really hoping he can go close at a nice price.
Each way – 3.40 Punchestown – By Your Side – 13/2 BetGoodwin 5 places
BY YOUR SIDE went into my tracker when winning a big field maiden at Naas a month ago. Then last week at Cheltenham ran well for 3rd in a handicap off a mark of 120. Back to his Irish mark of 114 tomorrow and jockey Danny Gilligan takes off 7lb. He’s 4/12 in the past two weeks so well worth his claim in this competitive big field handicap. Take as many places as you can get.
