2023 ATP tour Clay Court Season.

Sunday 9th April results for the ATP Tour, also predictions for upcoming matches.

It was Finals day yesterday where we had 3 finals from 3 different Tournaments. First champion of the week was Casper Ruud who beat Miomir Kecmanovic 6-2, 7-6 to claim the Estoril open making it now 10 titles for the Norwegian. It was a first set where Ruud looked to up his level once again where it was a set of controlled aggression. The second set saw Kecmanovic raising his game making it a tough contest with both players saving multiple break points but in the end Ruud showed his class and closed out the match. Roberto Carballes Baena won his second career title by beating Alexandre Muller in Marrakech. This was a battle going to the third set with the French man winning the first set and looking on route to win the tournament, however the Spaniard had other plans and turned the match around to win 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. The third winner of the week was Francis Tiafoe who won the Houston Open in 2 tight tie breaks beating Tomas Martin Etcheverry. This match was a surprise, not because Tiafoe won but due to the fact that they managed to finish the tournament after all those rain delays.

Today we will have the opportunity to enjoy a full day Masters 1000 tennis in Monte Carlo and here are my predictions for the day:

Zapata miralles 2-0 Bonzi
Fucsovics 2-0 Van De Zandschulp
Wawrinka to beat Griekspoor
Gakhov to beat McDonald
Lajovic 2-0 Popyrin
