ATP Tour 250s Final previews and Predictions

2023 ATP tour Clay Court Season.

We are only one week away from the French Open (check out our preview here) and we will have a week full of tennis including ATP Tour 250 events at Lyon and Geneva and Roland Garros Qualifying. Here at Bettingtalk247 we will keep you up to date with all the results, news and fixtures.

French Open Qualifying

Yesterday we had the final matches of qualifying for the French Open which determined who will go to the main draw and play in the second Grand Slam of the year which starts on Sunday. Here are the results of the final round with all the qualifiers:

ATP Geneva Final

Today’s final should be a close contested one with both Grigor Dimitrov and Nicolas Jarry displaying great form to reach the final. In the semi final Jarry beat former world number 2 Alexander Zverev 7-6, 6-3 with an impressive show of consistency. Dimitrov was also impressive in his semi final win beating current world number 9 Taylor Fritz 3-6, 7-5, 7-6 marking his first final in 5 years! Early odds suggest that the Bulgarian is favourite and understandably so as he holds more weapons and more experience, however I feel that Jarry will get a lot of balls in court leading him to a win tomorrow. Head to Head is 1-0 in Jarry’s favour with match taking place on clay in 2019.

ATP Lyon Final

Arthur Fils has impressed everyone, at just 18 years old he keeps on getting better and better week by week with now a final to add to his impressive achievements. In the semi final he beat world number 52 Brandon Nakashima 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 in an epic 2hr and 54 minute battle with the youngster also withstanding cramps. His opponent in the final will be Francisco Cerundolo who was impressive in his semi final win over Cam Norrie only dropping 3 games in a 6-3, 6-0 win and has shown good form in the last weeks. Bookies have the Argentine as heavy favourite and I agree with these odds as his form and experience should be too much for the youngster. My prediction is a straight sets win for Cerundolo.
